Description

A healthy and delicious way to start your day with smooth, creamy oats topped with strawberries.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup old fashioned oats
  • 2 tbsp chia seeds
  • 2 tbsp vegan vanilla protein powder (optional)
  • 1 ½ cups dairy-free milk (like unsweetened soy milk, almond milk, or oat milk)
  • 12 tbsp pure maple syrup
  • ¼ tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1 ¼ cups frozen strawberries
  • 5 oz dairy-free yogurt

Instructions

  1. Combine the oats, chia seeds, and protein powder (if using) in a large bowl.
  2. Pour in the dairy-free milk, one tablespoon of maple syrup, and vanilla extract. Mix thoroughly.
  3. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or a lid, and refrigerate for 2-3 hours or overnight.
  4. Prepare the strawberries by microwaving them on high for 2 minutes, then cut into bite-sized pieces.
  5. Chill the cooked strawberries until ready to layer.
  6. Layer oats and strawberries in jars, finishing with a spoonful of dairy-free yogurt.
  7. Store jars in the fridge for up to 5 days.

Notes

These overnight oats can be enjoyed cold or heated. Adjust sweetness according to your taste.
