  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons gelatin
  • 1/4 cup warm water
  • Whipped cream for topping (optional)
  • Fresh mango slices for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Buttery Sponge Cake: Bake the buttery sponge cake and let it cool completely in its pan on a wire rack.
  2. Make the Mango Mousse Mixture: Combine yogurt, pureed mangoes, sugar, and vanilla extract in a mixing bowl until smooth.
  3. Prepare the Gelatin: Dissolve gelatin in warm water until fully dissolved.
  4. Combine Gelatin with Mousse Mixture: Stir the dissolved gelatin into the mango yogurt mixture until well combined.
  5. Layer the Cake: Place the cooled sponge cake in a cake pan and pour the mousse mixture over it, smoothing the top.
  6. Chill to Set: Cover the cake and refrigerate for at least 240 minutes.
  7. Garnish and Serve: Top with whipped cream and mango slices, then slice and serve chilled.
