- 400g yogurt
- 300g ripe mangoes, pureed
- 100g sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons gelatin
- 1/4 cup warm water
- Whipped cream for topping (optional)
- Fresh mango slices for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the Buttery Sponge Cake: Bake the buttery sponge cake and let it cool completely in its pan on a wire rack.
- Make the Mango Mousse Mixture: Combine yogurt, pureed mangoes, sugar, and vanilla extract in a mixing bowl until smooth.
- Prepare the Gelatin: Dissolve gelatin in warm water until fully dissolved.
- Combine Gelatin with Mousse Mixture: Stir the dissolved gelatin into the mango yogurt mixture until well combined.
- Layer the Cake: Place the cooled sponge cake in a cake pan and pour the mousse mixture over it, smoothing the top.
- Chill to Set: Cover the cake and refrigerate for at least 240 minutes.
- Garnish and Serve: Top with whipped cream and mango slices, then slice and serve chilled.
Notes
Choose ripe mangoes for the best flavor and consider using full-fat yogurt for creaminess.
