Ingredients

  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream (chilled)
  • 8 oz full-fat cream cheese (softened)
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • ½ cup freshly squeezed key lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon key lime zest
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Prepare the crust: In a medium-sized bowl, mix the graham cracker crumbs with melted butter. Press firmly into the base of a trifle dish.
  2. Whip the cream: In a chilled mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
  3. Make the lime mixture: Beat the softened cream cheese until smooth, then add powdered sugar, lime juice, zest, and vanilla extract. Blend until smooth.
  4. Fold in the whipped cream gently into the lime mixture.
  5. Layer the trifle: Spoon half of the lime mixture over the crust, spreading evenly. Sprinkle some graham cracker crumbs on top.
  6. Repeat the layers: Add the remaining lime mixture and top with graham cracker crumbs. Chill for at least 2 hours.

Notes

Best served chilled. Garnish with whipped cream, lime zest, or a slice of lime.
