- 1 cup graham cracker crumbs (finely ground)
- 4 tablespoons melted unsalted butter
- 2 cups heavy whipping cream (chilled)
- 8 oz full-fat cream cheese (softened)
- ½ cup powdered sugar
- ½ cup freshly squeezed key lime juice
- 1 tablespoon key lime zest
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Prepare the crust: In a medium-sized bowl, mix the graham cracker crumbs with melted butter. Press firmly into the base of a trifle dish.
- Whip the cream: In a chilled mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
- Make the lime mixture: Beat the softened cream cheese until smooth, then add powdered sugar, lime juice, zest, and vanilla extract. Blend until smooth.
- Fold in the whipped cream gently into the lime mixture.
- Layer the trifle: Spoon half of the lime mixture over the crust, spreading evenly. Sprinkle some graham cracker crumbs on top.
- Repeat the layers: Add the remaining lime mixture and top with graham cracker crumbs. Chill for at least 2 hours.
Notes
Best served chilled. Garnish with whipped cream, lime zest, or a slice of lime.
