Description

This pizza combines the simplicity of homemade dough with a spicy-sweet twist from hot honey, pepperoni, and creamy ricotta.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound pizza dough
  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 3/4 cup ricotta cheese
  • 20 slices pepperoni
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons hot honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • Fresh basil leaves (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 475°F (245°C).
  2. Prepare the dough on a floured surface into a 12-inch round shape.
  3. Transfer the dough onto parchment paper.
  4. Add olive oil over the surface of the dough.
  5. Spread the pizza sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a border.
  6. Layer the mozzarella cheese over the sauce and dollop the ricotta cheese evenly.
  7. Add the pepperoni slices on top of the cheese.
  8. Sprinkle the crushed red pepper flakes across the pizza.
  9. Bake the pizza for 12-15 minutes until the crust is golden-brown.
  10. Finish by drizzling hot honey over the top after baking.
  11. Garnish with fresh basil leaves, if desired.
  12. Slice into wedges and serve hot.
