  • 1 cup granulated sugar

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare the pie crust by placing it in a 9-inch pie pan and pricking the bottom.
  3. Mix the filling by beating the eggs and adding corn syrup, sugar, melted butter, vanilla extract, and salt.
  4. Add the chopped pecans and chocolate chips, folding them gently into the mixture.
  5. Pour the filling into the prepared pie crust and spread it evenly.
  6. Bake for 45-50 minutes until the edges are set and the center is slightly jiggly.
  7. Cool the pie for at least two hours before slicing.
