- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup light corn syrup
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ½ teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Prepare the pie crust by placing it in a 9-inch pie pan and pricking the bottom.
- Mix the filling by beating the eggs and adding corn syrup, sugar, melted butter, vanilla extract, and salt.
- Add the chopped pecans and chocolate chips, folding them gently into the mixture.
- Pour the filling into the prepared pie crust and spread it evenly.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes until the edges are set and the center is slightly jiggly.
- Cool the pie for at least two hours before slicing.
- Serve with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream, if desired.
