- 1 head of cabbage
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or your choice)

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Slice the cabbage into 1-inch thick steaks.
- Brush both sides of each cabbage steak with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
- Place the steaks on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Roast in the oven for about 15-20 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the edges are crispy.
- Remove from the oven, sprinkle cheese on top of each steak, and return to the oven for an additional 5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Serve warm as a side dish or vegetarian main course.
