Instructions
- Prepare the cream mixture: Start by pouring cold heavy cream into a mixing bowl. Whip the cream at medium speed until stiff peaks form, about 4-5 minutes. Gradually add powdered sugar and vanilla extract.
- Layer the ingredients in a 9×13-inch dish, starting with a layer of chocolate wafer cookies covering the base.
- Add a generous layer of whipped cream over the cookies, followed by a layer of cherry pie filling, distributing it evenly.
- Repeat the process of layering cookies, whipped cream, and cherry filling for at least two to three layers, ending with whipped cream on top.
- Garnish with dark chocolate shavings and fresh cherries.
- Chill the cake covered in plastic wrap or foil in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
- Serve chilled, slicing into squares and optionally adding extra cherry filling or whipped cream on the side.
Notes
