- 1/2 cup butter, melted

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Prepare your muffin tin with paper liners.
- Mash the ripe bananas in a large mixing bowl until smooth.
- Add the melted butter to the mashed bananas.
- Mix in the sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until well blended.
- Add the baking soda and salt, stirring well.
- Combine the all-purpose flour gradually, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips and walnuts.
- Fill each muffin cup about two-thirds full with batter.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes, checking for doneness with a toothpick.
- Cool in the tin for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
