- 1 pint of blueberries
- 1 pint of strawberries, sliced
- 2 medium bananas, sliced
- 1 watermelon, cut into large triangles (or star shapes)
- Optional: mint leaves for garnish
Instructions
- Start by washing all your fruits thoroughly under cold water. Dry them with a clean towel.
- Take your watermelon and cut it into large triangle slices, or use a star-shaped cookie cutter for creative shapes.
- Place the blueberries in the top left corner of a large platter to represent the blue field of the flag.
- Next to the blueberries, make a row of sliced strawberries to cover the red portion of the flag.
- Below the blueberries, arrange banana slices in a rectangle pattern for the white stripes.
- Continue alternating between red strawberries and white banana slices until you reach the end of the platter.
- Add watermelon stars randomly around the fruit platter and loosely scatter mint leaves for garnish.
- Refrigerate the fruit platter for about 30 minutes before serving.
Notes
For optimal freshness, prepare the fruit just before serving. Store leftovers in an airtight container, keeping fruits separate.
