Ingredients
- Boneless, skinless chicken breasts (cut into bite-sized pieces)
- Bowtie pasta (Farfalle)
- Fresh broccoli florets
- Unsalted butter
- Freshly minced garlic
- Finely minced shallots
- Fresh rosemary
- Fresh thyme
- Fresh parsley
- Smoked paprika
- Red pepper flakes (optional)
- Lemon zest
- Lemon juice
- Dijon mustard
- Worcestershire sauce
- Low-sodium chicken broth
- Salt
- Black pepper
Instructions
- Prep your ingredients: cut chicken, chop broccoli, mince garlic and shallots, zest and juice lemon, and chop herbs.
- Cook the pasta in boiling salted water until al dente, reserving 1 to 1.5 cups of pasta water before draining.
- Sear the chicken in melted butter over medium-high heat until golden brown, then remove from skillet.
- Build the sauce by melting remaining butter and cooking shallots until softened.
- Add minced garlic, rosemary, and thyme, cooking briefly to blend flavors.
- Incorporate smoked paprika and optional red pepper flakes, cooking for 30 seconds, then add chicken broth.
- Simmer the mixture, then stir in Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, lemon zest, and juice, letting it thicken.
- Combine broccoli and chicken, then toss in cooked pasta.
- Serve immediately, garnished with fresh parsley.
