Soft, fudgy tiramisu-inspired crinkle cookies with rich espresso flavor, a hint of cocoa, and a snowy powdered sugar finish classic Italian dessert flavors in cookie form.
Ingredients
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
3/4 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 1/2 tsp instant espresso powder
1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1/3 cup cocoa powder
1 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 cup powdered sugar (for rolling)
Instructions
1. In a bowl, whisk together melted butter and granulated sugar.
2. Add eggs, vanilla, and espresso powder; mix until smooth.
3. In a separate bowl, whisk flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
4. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients until combined.
5. Cover dough and chill for 1 hour.
6. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
7. Scoop dough into balls and roll generously in powdered sugar.
8. Place on baking sheets spacing evenly apart.
9. Bake for 10–12 minutes until crinkled and set.
10. Cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
Notes
Chilling the dough is essential for thick crinkles.
Use Dutch-processed cocoa for deeper flavor.
Cookies stay soft for several days when stored airtight.
