Description
This Praline Crunch is a sweet, buttery snack mix made with crispy cereal, pecans, and a caramel glaze baked to perfection the perfect treat for holidays or anytime snacking!
Ingredients
8 cups Crispix cereal (or Chex mix)
2 cups pecan halves
1 cup brown sugar, packed
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter
1/4 cup light corn syrup
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 250°F (120°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. In a large bowl, combine cereal and pecans; set aside.
3. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt butter, brown sugar, and corn syrup.
4. Bring mixture to a boil and cook for 3 minutes, stirring constantly.
5. Remove from heat and stir in baking soda and vanilla — the mixture will foam up.
6. Pour the caramel mixture over the cereal and pecans, stirring gently to coat evenly.
7. Spread mixture in an even layer on the prepared baking sheet.
8. Bake for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
9. Remove from oven and allow to cool completely.
10. Once cool, break into clusters and store in an airtight container.
