  • 4 tablespoons peanut butter
  • 4 tablespoons jam or jelly
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • Pinch of salt
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Powdered sugar
  • Maple syrup
  • Fresh fruit

Instructions

  1. Assemble sandwiches by spreading peanut butter on one slice and jelly on another, then combining to make 4 sandwiches.
  2. Make the custard by whisking together eggs, milk, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt until combined.
  3. Dip each sandwich into the egg mixture, coating both sides and allowing to soak briefly.
  4. Cook in a skillet over medium heat with melted butter, for 3–4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  5. Serve warm, sliced as desired, dusted with powdered sugar and drizzled with maple syrup, adding fresh fruit on top.
