Description

Delightful Oreo-infused macarons with a crunchy exterior and chewy center. Perfect for parties or as gifts!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup almond flour
  • 1 3/4 cups powdered sugar
  • 3 large egg whites
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup white chocolate, chopped
  • 1/2 cup crushed Oreo cookies

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Sift together almond flour and powdered sugar in a large mixing bowl.
  3. Prepare egg whites by beating with an electric mixer until foamy. Add cream of tartar and granulated sugar, then beat until stiff peaks form.
  4. Add vanilla extract to the whipped egg whites and gently fold in.
  5. Combine the dry mixture into the meringue gently to maintain airiness.
  6. Pipe small circles (about 1.5 inches) onto the prepared baking sheets.
  7. Remove air bubbles by tapping the baking sheets on the counter.
  8. Let stand for 30-60 minutes until they form a skin.
  9. Bake for 15-20 minutes until firm, then allow to cool completely.
  10. Make the filling by heating heavy cream and pouring over chopped white chocolate; stir until smooth.
  11. Add crushed Oreo cookies to the ganache.
  12. Sandwich the filling between two macaron shells.
  13. Refrigerate for 24 hours before serving for best flavor.

Notes

For optimal storage, keep macarons in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week. Unfilled shells can be frozen for up to three months.
