Description
A quick and comforting one-pot creamy garlic pasta made with simple ingredients rich, velvety sauce, tender noodles, and loads of garlic flavor in every bite.
Ingredients
2 tbsp butter
1 tbsp olive oil
6 garlic cloves, minced
3 cups vegetable or chicken broth
2 cups milk
12 oz fettuccine or spaghetti (uncooked)
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
1. In a large deep skillet or pot, melt butter and olive oil over medium heat.
2. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant, but not browned.
3. Pour in broth and milk, then add uncooked pasta.
4. Bring to a gentle boil, then reduce heat to a simmer.
5. Cook uncovered for 10–12 minutes, stirring frequently, until pasta is tender and liquid has mostly absorbed.
6. Stir in Parmesan cheese, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes.
7. Continue stirring until cheese melts and sauce becomes creamy.
8. Remove from heat, let rest for 2 minutes to thicken slightly.
9. Garnish with parsley and serve immediately.
Notes
Add cooked chicken, shrimp, or sautéed mushrooms for extra protein and flavor.
Use half-and-half instead of milk for an even creamier sauce.
Leftovers can be reheated with a splash of milk to loosen the sauce.
