Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 tsp mustard powder
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 3 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta: Begin by boiling water in a large pot. Once boiling, add the macaroni. Cook according to the package instructions until al dente.
  2. Make the cheese sauce: In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Sprinkle in the flour and stir for about 2 minutes.
  3. Add cream and milk: Gradually pour in the heavy cream and milk while continuously stirring until smooth.
  4. Season it: Add the mustard powder and smoked paprika. Stir until well combined.
  5. Melt the cheese: Remove from heat and slowly add the cheddar cheese while stirring until melted.
  6. Combine pasta and sauce: Add the cooked macaroni to the cheese sauce and stir until well coated. Season with salt and pepper.
