- 1 package King’s Hawaiian rolls
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup fruit preserves (e.g., strawberry or raspberry)
- 1 egg wash (1 egg beaten with 1 tbsp water)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Combine the cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, sour cream, and egg in a medium bowl until smooth.
- Slice the King’s Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally and place the bottoms on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Scoop the cheesecake mixture onto the bottom halves of the rolls.
- Add a spoonful of fruit preserves on top of the cheesecake mixture.
- Place the top halves of the rolls back on.
- Brush the tops with egg wash.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
- Cool the Danish for a few minutes before serving.
