Ingredients
3 cups baby carrots
3 cups green beans, trimmed
2 tbsp butter
1 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp honey
1 garlic clove, minced
Salt and pepper to taste
1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional)
Instructions
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
2. Add carrots and cook for 5 minutes.
3. Add green beans and cook for another 3–4 minutes until both are tender-crisp.
4. Drain and set aside.
5. In a large skillet, melt butter with olive oil over medium heat.
6. Stir in honey and minced garlic; cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
7. Add the cooked vegetables and toss to coat evenly.
8. Season with salt and pepper, and cook for 1–2 more minutes until glazed.
9. Transfer to a serving dish and garnish with parsley if desired.
Notes
For extra flavor, add a squeeze of lemon juice or a pinch of red pepper flakes.
You can substitute maple syrup for honey for a slightly different sweetness.
