Ingredients
4 flour tortillas
2 cups shredded Mexican blend or cheddar cheese
1 tbsp butter or oil
Optional fillings: cooked chicken, beans, or veggies
Instructions
1. Use a heart-shaped cookie cutter to cut heart shapes from the tortillas.
2. Sprinkle cheese evenly over half of the tortilla hearts.
3. Add any optional fillings if using.
4. Top with another tortilla heart to form a sandwich.
5. Heat a skillet over medium heat and add butter or oil.
6. Cook quesadillas until golden brown on one side.
7. Flip carefully and cook until the other side is golden and cheese is melted.
8. Serve warm.
Notes
Use leftover tortilla scraps to make chips.
Serve with salsa, sour cream, or guacamole.
Great for lunchboxes when cooled slightly.
