Description
Rich, fudgy heart-shaped brownies swirled with tart raspberry sauce a perfect treat for Valentine’s Day or any special occasion.
Ingredients
1/2 cup unsalted butter
8 oz semi-sweet chocolate, chopped
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
2 tbsp cocoa powder
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 cup raspberry jam or puree
Fresh raspberries for garnish
Powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
2. In a heatproof bowl, melt butter and chocolate together over a double boiler or in the microwave until smooth.
3. Whisk in granulated and brown sugar until combined.
4. Add eggs and vanilla; whisk until glossy and thick.
5. Sift in flour, cocoa powder, and salt; gently fold to combine.
6. Pour batter into prepared pan and smooth the top.
7. Spoon raspberry jam in small dollops over the batter and swirl gently with a knife.
8. Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out with moist crumbs.
9. Cool completely, then cut out heart shapes using a cookie cutter.
10. Dust with powdered sugar and top with fresh raspberries before serving.
Notes
For extra richness, fold in chocolate chips before baking.
Use seedless raspberry jam for a smoother swirl.
You can also use strawberry or cherry jam for variation.
Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days at room temperature.
