Ingredients
1 lb sirloin or ribeye steak, cut into bite-size pieces
1 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp butter
4 garlic cloves, minced
9 oz cheese tortellini (fresh or refrigerated)
1/4 cup beef broth
1/4 cup heavy cream (optional for a creamier sauce)
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Salt and black pepper, to taste
1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish
Instructions
1. Cook the tortellini according to package directions, drain, and set aside.
2. Season steak bites with salt and pepper.
3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
4. Add steak in batches and sear for 1–2 minutes per side until browned and cooked to your liking. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
5. Reduce heat to medium, then add butter to the same pan.
6. Add minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
7. Pour in beef broth and heavy cream (if using), scraping up any browned bits from the bottom.
8. Add cooked tortellini and toss to coat in the sauce.
9. Return steak bites to the skillet and stir to combine.
10. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese, red pepper flakes, and parsley before serving.
Notes
Use fresh cheese tortellini for best texture and flavor.
For a richer taste, finish the dish with an extra tablespoon of butter before serving.
Add sautéed mushrooms or spinach for a veggie boost.
Pairs perfectly with garlic bread or a crisp green salad.
