Description
Delightful bite-sized churro treats made in the air fryer, offering crispy sweetness without deep frying.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup water
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup sugar (for coating)
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- Oil spray for air frying
Instructions
- Make the Dough: In a medium saucepan, combine the water, butter, sugar, and salt. Place the saucepan over medium heat and bring the mixture to a boil. Stir occasionally to help the butter melt.
- Add Flour: Once the mixture comes to a rolling boil, remove from heat and immediately add the all-purpose flour. Stir vigorously until a smooth dough forms.
- Cool and Add Eggs: Allow the dough to cool slightly. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing thoroughly after each addition until smooth.
- Preheat Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Pipe the Churro Bites: Transfer the dough into a piping bag fitted with a large star tip. Pipe small bite-sized pieces of dough.
- Spray with Oil: Lightly spray the churro bites with oil spray.
- Air Fry: Place churro bites in a single layer in the air fryer. Air fry for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.
- Cinnamon Sugar Coating: Prepare your coating by mixing the remaining sugar with ground cinnamon. Toss churro bites in the mixture while still warm.
- Serve and Enjoy: Enjoy warm with a side of chocolate sauce or ice cream.
