Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup fruit jam (e.g., raspberry or strawberry)
  • Rainbow sprinkles (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream the softened butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the vanilla extract and mix until combined.
  4. Combine the flour and salt, then mix until just combined.
  5. Shape the dough into 1-inch balls and place on a baking sheet.
  6. Make indentations in the center of each ball.
  7. Fill each indentation with a small amount of fruit jam.
  8. Bake for 12-15 minutes until lightly golden.
  9. Cool the cookies on the baking sheet for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
