  • ½ teaspoon pepper, to taste
  • ½ teaspoon paprika (optional)
  • ½ pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • ¼ cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup milk
  • ½ cup shredded cheese (e.g., cheddar)
  • ½ cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Prepare your pre-baked pie crust in a 9-inch pie pan.
  3. Sauté the onion, celery, and red bell pepper in melted butter for 3-4 minutes.
  4. Add minced garlic, salt, pepper, and paprika; cook for 1 minute.
  5. Cook shrimp in the skillet for 2-3 minutes until pink.
  6. Make the sauce by adding flour, then whisk in heavy cream and milk; cook until thickened.
  7. Add shredded cheese to the mixture until melted.
  8. Fill the pie crust with the shrimp mixture.
  9. Prepare the topping by mixing panko breadcrumbs with melted butter and Parmesan.
  10. Top the pie with the breadcrumb mixture.
  11. Bake for 25-30 minutes until the top is golden brown.
