Description
A quick, low-carb version of classic egg rolls, made without wrappers savory ground meat, cabbage, and Asian-inspired flavors.
Ingredients
1 lb ground pork or chicken
1/2 medium onion, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
4 cups shredded cabbage
1 cup shredded carrots
3 tbsp soy sauce or tamari
1 tbsp sesame oil
1 tsp grated fresh ginger
1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)
Sesame seeds, for garnish
Instructions
1. Heat sesame oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
2. Add ground meat and cook until browned; drain excess fat if needed.
3. Add onion, garlic, and ginger; sauté 2–3 minutes until fragrant.
4. Stir in cabbage and carrots; cook until tender, about 5–7 minutes.
5. Add soy sauce and crushed red pepper flakes; toss to combine.
6. Remove from heat; garnish with green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
Notes
Swap pork for ground chicken, turkey, or beef.
Add mushrooms, bell peppers, or other veggies for variety.
Serve with cauliflower rice for a low-carb meal.
