Easy Mango Sago

Description

A refreshing dessert combining fresh mangoes with chewy sago pearls in a creamy coconut milk base.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup sago/small tapioca pearls
  • 6 cups water
  • 1.5 ripe mangoes
  • 1/4 cup condensed milk
  • 1 cup coconut milk
  • Coconut flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Boil the water in a medium-large pot.
  2. Cook the sago pearls in boiling water for about 15 minutes.
  3. Rest the sago for another 10 minutes after cooking.
  4. Drain the cooked sago through a fine-mesh sieve and rinse under cold water.
  5. Prepare the mango mixture by blending one ripe mango with coconut milk and condensed milk.
  6. Combine the blended mango mixture with the drained sago.
  7. Chill the dessert for at least 30 minutes if desired.
  8. Dice the remaining mango into small cubes for topping.
  9. Assemble the dessert in individual containers and garnish with diced mango and coconut flakes.
  10. Enjoy your refreshing Mango Sago!
