Ultra-moist, decadent banana bread loaded with crushed Oreo cookies and rich chocolate flavor a fun, indulgent twist on the classic comfort bake.
Ingredients
3 ripe bananas, mashed
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1 large egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
10 Oreo cookies, roughly chopped
1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
2. In a bowl, mix mashed bananas with melted butter and sugar.
3. Add egg and vanilla extract; stir until combined.
4. In a separate bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, and salt.
5. Fold dry ingredients into wet ingredients just until combined.
6. Gently fold in chopped Oreo cookies and chocolate chips if using.
7. Pour batter into prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
8. Bake for 55–60 minutes until a toothpick inserted comes out mostly clean.
9. Cool in pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
Do not overmix the batter to keep the bread tender.
Tent loosely with foil if the top browns too quickly.
Store wrapped at room temperature for up to 3 days or refrigerate for longer freshness.
