Description

A quick and indulgent chocolate puff pastry made with flaky golden layers filled with melted chocolate  perfect for dessert or a sweet snack.

Ingredients

Scale

1 sheet puff pastry, thawed

4 oz dark or milk chocolate (bars or chips)

1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

1 tbsp sugar (optional, for sprinkling)

Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. Unfold puff pastry on a lightly floured surface and cut into rectangles or squares.

3. Place a few pieces of chocolate in the center of each square.

4. Fold over the pastry to enclose the chocolate and press edges with a fork to seal.

5. Brush tops with beaten egg and sprinkle with sugar if desired.

6. Bake for 15–18 minutes, or until golden and puffed.

7. Cool slightly, dust with powdered sugar, and serve warm.

Notes

Try using Nutella or white chocolate for a different twist.

Serve with ice cream or fresh berries for an elegant dessert.

Best enjoyed fresh, but can be reheated in the oven to restore crispiness.
