Sweet, crunchy, and perfectly spiced candied pecans coated in a caramelized cinnamon-sugar glaze. Ideal for snacking, topping salads, or gifting during the holidays.
Ingredients
1 lb (about 4 cups) pecan halves
1 cup granulated sugar
1 tbsp ground cinnamon
1 tsp salt
1 egg white
1 tbsp water
1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. In a small bowl, mix together sugar, cinnamon, and salt; set aside.
3. In a large bowl, whisk the egg white, water, and vanilla until frothy.
4. Add pecans and stir to coat evenly.
5. Sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture over the pecans and toss until well coated.
6. Spread pecans in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
7. Bake for 40–45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes to ensure even coating.
8. Remove from oven and let cool completely; pecans will crisp up as they cool.
Notes
Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 weeks.
For a spicy twist, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the sugar mixture.
These make a perfect edible gift — pack them in jars or small bags tied with ribbon.
