Description
Tender haddock fillets cooked in a rich, creamy garlic butter sauce a comforting, restaurant-quality dish that’s simple enough for a weeknight meal.
Ingredients
4 haddock fillets (about 6 oz each)
2 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp butter
4 garlic cloves, minced
1 cup heavy cream
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 tsp lemon juice
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
1 tbsp chopped parsley for garnish
Instructions
1. Pat haddock fillets dry with paper towels and season with salt and pepper.
2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
3. Add the haddock and cook for 3–4 minutes per side until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
4. In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté garlic for 30 seconds until fragrant.
5. Pour in the heavy cream and stir in Parmesan cheese and lemon juice.
6. Simmer for 2–3 minutes, stirring until the sauce thickens slightly.
7. Return the haddock to the skillet and spoon sauce over the fillets.
8. Simmer for another minute, garnish with parsley, and serve warm.
Notes
You can substitute haddock with cod or pollock.
Add a handful of spinach or sun-dried tomatoes for extra flavor.
Serve with mashed potatoes, rice, or steamed vegetables for a complete meal.
