Description

Delicious brookies combine the fudgy richness of brownies with the chewy goodness of chocolate chip cookies.


Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix the melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
  3. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, and mix until light and fluffy.
  4. Combine the flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder in a separate bowl.
  5. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips gently.
  7. Layer half of the brownie batter in a greased 9×9 inch baking pan, followed by the cookie dough, then the remaining brownie batter.
  8. Bake for 30-35 minutes, checking for doneness with a toothpick.
  9. Cool in the pan before transferring to a wire rack, then slice into bars.

Notes

Serve warm with ice cream or drizzle with chocolate for an extra treat. Store in an airtight container.
