- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/3 cup cocoa powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Mix the melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
- Add the eggs and vanilla extract, and mix until light and fluffy.
- Combine the flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder in a separate bowl.
- Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips gently.
- Layer half of the brownie batter in a greased 9×9 inch baking pan, followed by the cookie dough, then the remaining brownie batter.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, checking for doneness with a toothpick.
- Cool in the pan before transferring to a wire rack, then slice into bars.
Notes
Serve warm with ice cream or drizzle with chocolate for an extra treat. Store in an airtight container.
