Instructions
- Preheat the waffle iron according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
- Mix the dry ingredients: whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Mix the wet ingredients: whisk egg yolks with milk, melted butter, and vanilla until smooth.
- Combine the wet and dry ingredients, mixing gently until just combined.
- Beat the egg whites until soft peaks form for added fluffiness.
- Fold the beaten egg whites into the batter carefully.
- Cook the waffles in the preheated iron until golden brown, about 4-5 minutes.
- Serve warm with your favorite toppings.
Notes
For an extra crispy texture, cook the waffles a minute longer once they’re golden brown.
