  • 1 egg

  • 12 tablespoons milk (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Prepare your baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper.
  3. Mix the dry ingredients in a large mixing bowl: flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
  4. Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  5. Combine the wet ingredients: mash the bananas, then add heavy cream, egg, and vanilla extract.
  6. Pour the banana mixture into the dry ingredients and stir gently until just combined.
  7. Turn the dough onto a floured surface, knead gently, and shape into a circle about 1 inch thick.
  8. Cut the dough into wedges and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  9. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  10. Prepare the glaze by beating cream cheese, powdered sugar, and cinnamon; add milk for desired consistency.
  11. Glaze the warm scones once they have cooled slightly.
