Ingredients

  • 0.5 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 0.25 cup granulated sugar
  • 0.5 cup mashed overripe banana (about 1 banana)
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1.5 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare two baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone mats.
  3. Cream together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the mashed banana, egg, and vanilla extract to the creamed mixture and mix until smooth.
  5. Combine the flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon in a separate bowl.
  6. Mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined.
  7. Fold in the chocolate chips evenly.
  8. Scoop tablespoons of dough onto the baking sheets, spaced 2 inches apart.
  9. Bake for 10–12 minutes until edges are set and centers are slightly soft.
  10. Cool on the sheets for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
