Description

A decadent fusion of apple crisp and creamy cheesecake baked into a moist, cinnamon-spiced bread  the perfect fall treat for breakfast, dessert, or gifting.


Ingredients

**For the Bread:**

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

1 tsp baking powder

1/2 tsp baking soda

1/2 tsp salt

1 tsp cinnamon

1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

3/4 cup brown sugar

2 large eggs

1/3 cup sour cream or Greek yogurt

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 large apple, peeled and finely chopped

**For the Cheesecake Layer:**

8 oz cream cheese, softened

1/4 cup sugar

1 large egg

1/2 tsp vanilla extract

**For the Crisp Topping:**

1/2 cup old-fashioned oats

1/3 cup brown sugar

1/4 cup flour

1/2 tsp cinnamon

3 tbsp butter, melted


Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.

2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.

3. In a large bowl, beat butter and brown sugar until creamy. Add eggs, sour cream, and vanilla; mix until smooth.

4. Stir dry ingredients into wet ingredients until just combined. Fold in chopped apple.

5. In another bowl, mix cream cheese, sugar, egg, and vanilla until smooth.

6. Pour half of the bread batter into the loaf pan, then spread the cheesecake layer evenly over it.

7. Top with the remaining bread batter.

8. In a small bowl, mix oats, brown sugar, flour, cinnamon, and melted butter to form a crumbly topping. Sprinkle over the top.

9. Bake for 55–65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

10. Cool completely before slicing for clean layers.

Notes

Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.

Warm individual slices before serving for the best texture.

Try using honeycrisp or granny smith apples for a balance of sweetness and tartness.
